Following SAIC Adjunct Associate Professor Patricia Pelletier as she leads CPS high school students through the MCA’s collection, this video reveals the power and density of the State of the Art program. Using art as a vehicle for discussing contemporary social issues as well as the framework for technical skills, the MCA’s State of the Art program integrates the museum’s collection into the curriculum of the Chicago Public Schools art departments. Produced to present the State of the Art program to the National Art Education Association  Annual Convention.
