Alicia Healy is an Emmy Award-winning producer and director whose work is currently airing nationally on PBS and locally on Chicago’s channel 49.  She is the executive producer of Alicia Healy Productions, a Chicago-based full service film and video production company creating innovative and engaging documentary-based programs for broadcast television as well as educational, issue awareness, market research, and recruitment venues.


Alicia’s series on adult literacy for PBS, Workplace Essential Skills, won two Best of the Best Awards from the National Education Telecommunications Association, as well as serving as the core curriculum for the workforce development/training programs in Indiana, South Carolina, and New York.  She has developed a Media Studies curriculum for urban schools that includes partnerships and workshops with organizations and institutions throughout Chicago.  


Recognizing the privilege and impact of documenting the lives and efforts of people striving for community change, her works reveal the inspiration and power of their stories.  Her experience in documentary, broadcast production, and education uniquely qualify her to work with media innovators and educators to communicate the essence of their work.
